Hi everybody:) So I'm sorta bummed that this community isn't really active anymore. :(

Do anyone have any Jesse Icons they would like to share? I am horrible with photoshop and figured I'd ask here. Ive also been looking for Jesse's past stuff from heart attack and d-gen but alas I cannot find a damned thing. Ive asked in a few places and nadda. I'd like to hear the albums before I buy them since I recently became jobless. :/ Soooo if someone is willing to share songs or icons I would be greatful.

I'll Just Leave This Here...Collapse )

"Jesse Malin - On Your Sleeve

Recorded over seven days and featuring interpretations of classic singer-songwriters Tom Waits and Neil Young, contemporary greats such as The Hold Steady and The Kills, punk icons The Ramones and The Clash, Lou Reed and even a Sam Cooke standard – Jesse tips his hat to a small collection of writers that inform his unique musical identity and appeal. As a performing songwriter, Jesse appreciated the challenge of covering unique melodies not of his own design. Or, as Jesse puts it: “seven days of crazy fun, trying on other peoples’ clothes in my own apartment…” The new album will be out on 7th April."

A picture I took of Jesse at the Stone Pony on Thanksgiving Eve. My aunt had passed away that morning, and my brother and I decided to go to the show anyway to clear our heads. Jesse was amazing as always and gave us a lot to feed off of.

Hey.. I don't think this has been posted before, but over on the Ryan Adams community they posted a video someone made for "When the Stars Go Blue" and Jesse is in it.

The video was actually meant to be for "New York, New York," but they ended up not using it.

Anyway, here's a link to the video: http://s35.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0QBJM4FLX3TDD1TLEHF4SBI7IC

Jesse on Comcast [08 Mar 2005|08:48am]

Hey, everyone, I don't think I've posted here before. I just wanted to let you all know that if you have Comcast Digital Cable, you can see a half hour Jesse concert by going to the On Demand section, clicking on Music, then Concerts. He should be listed there. I hope it's not just my area (NY/NJ area). It might be from the DVD because they plugged it at the end. The sound was kinda bad, but I enjoyed it anyway.

DVD [04 Mar 2005|09:44pm]

Anyone know if Jesse's live DVD will play in U.S. region 1 players? The One Little Indian site says the DVD is region 0 (which I believe will play in all players) but Amazon UK says its region 2. Anyone know for sure?

Setlist. [31 Jan 2005|09:16am]

I just downloaded a fantasic copy of the Chicago show on 11.12.04 at the Riviera (I was there as well) from the Ryan Adams FTP server. Now I need some help setting it up for my iTunes. Where (if not here) can I find the setlist for the show? I already have the list for Ryan's set, I just need Jesse's to finish the deal. Any help would rock.

Oh, and I'm brand spanking new around here. The name's Joe, nice to meet you.

Anyone going to see Jesse in Newport, KY next month? I missed him the last time he played there but I caught him in Chicago with Ryan Adams, so it's ok. Was just wondering if anyone planned on going. :) Ali Edwards is also playing with him and I was wondering if anyone had any downloads of her. I have never heard of her.
